Pooja Hegde was born 13 October 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is an Indian actress and model who appears predominantly in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies. She was crowned as the third place at the Miss Universe India competition in 2010. She made her acting debut in extraordinary director Mysskin’s Tamil superhero movie Mugamoodi in 2012 opposite to Jiiva. She was nominated for Best Female Debutant – Tamil from South Indian International Movie Awards.
In 2014 she debut Telugu cinema ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ with Naga Chaitanya. Then she continue with many Telugu movies as Varun Tej’s Mukunda and Gaddalakonda Ganesh, Icon Star Allu Arjun’s DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Bellamkonda Sreenivas’s Saakshyam, N.T.Rama Rao Jr.’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi, Akhil Akkineni’s Most Eligible Bachelor.
Her Hindi debut with Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro in 2016. After she acted Bollywood Super Star
Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4. She won several awards which are Lux Golden Rose Awards Best Debutante of the Year for Mohenjo Daro in 2016, Zee Golden Awards Entertainer Of The Year (Female) for Duvvada Jagannadham in 2017, Sakshi Excellence Awards Best Actress for Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava in 2019, South Indian International Movie Awards Best Actress for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in 2021.
Her upcoming movies are Radhe Shyam with Prabhas (Hindi & Telugu), Acharya(Telugu) with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus (Hindi) and Vijay’s Beast(Tamil).
